The Duality of Conservatism can be exampled in the on-goings of the ex-governor's trial being held in a courtroom in Virginia. It's a classic,
(for-better or-worse) vow of matrimony mixed-with a political love of
money, and power, on the side. Plus, it clearly illustrates what we all
have suspected, all along. Many conservative persons run for a public
office because of those added benefits of money, gifts, and influence.
As do others I'm sure, but not with so-much of that, 'Holier than thou'
conservative pretense for what ails you. If you catch my political drift.
As such, being spelled-out in the current trail of a conservative ex-gov.,
more known publicly for slashing of a state workers' retirement account
than say, cutting through red-tape for a fellow friend or big money donor's
need for a state agency research and review. Either way the ex-governor
got his money due. By making his pitch to start the wheels in motion at
a time within the envelope of money and friendly favors changing hands.
That's generally what political power and thus, political influence entails.
This for that ... with the over brushing of many gray lines to hide the deal.
While I wager it must be tough for a former governor's rising star to dim or
fall back to the earth of reality. I would likewise, double-down, that it is not
a mere preponderance of what most conservative households feel. Often a
wife, or spouse, when dear old Daddy Conservatism gets caught with hand
in pocket - of a Bigger Daddy named Money Pockets. Must have been the wife doing this, or not doing that you say? Plus 'much ado about nothing. Move on,
there's nothing to see or hear here, reports the conservative news media on
their crutch to stand dear old conservative Dad, Humpty Dumpty, right again.
Maybe the Misses will eventually write us a book and tell us what happened...
