It's Saturday afternoon and Congress has left town for another month long break. But I could be wrong. They could have already been on break and then decided to just leave town. Kind of boring, I suppose, just arguing with one's self most of the time (or since 2010). Either way, the majority of Americans (I surmise) have been waiting for some on the GOP side, to take a time-out from - just - running for President. And do a couple days of work (after all, blogs don't write or post themselves).
Not to mention, running down the current leader in the White House since 2009. OK, I get it. Republicans don't like Obama, as much as many of us (Independents & Democrats) didn't hold out for more holy water under those Bush-Cheney imperial years. And we're not talking antique cars here folks. Although, we'd probably get more mileage out of a 1960's model with fins, than we currently get out of the House side of Congress. Especially when it comes to bridge and road upkeep.
