Research firm Gartner is urging enterprises still using Windows 7 to start planning a migration to Windows 8/8.1, which features a touch-friendly interface optimized for tablets and other mobile devices.
Social Politics - 101: At this rate, Windows will eat it's own tail ... then ... poof ... it's gone. Windows 8, then 8.1 ... maybe. Always a little more to buy up. Plus the touchscreen hype is added fluff on most non-touch screen Win-7's. Looks like a boon for those various Linux OS's.
