Subject: New Voter Picture I.D. Law - just another potential privacy information hack?

Here we are just a few weeks away from an important election and some voters are just now being officially noticed (via their local news print, if they buy a copy) that they will be required to have a "valid" picture I.D., in-order to vote and as such, must then present it to an unknown person (often a total stranger) at their local polling place (if you know where that still is after location changes have been made). After all, those registrars' primary job is to count votes (oddly, still often problematic) and not to protect your private, or personal, information from anyone, including themselves (pen & paper notes...). Much less any hacker. Don't worry, you have their word that your private information is safe and their vocal promise to you to be diligent in protecting all of your personal and private information (likewise provided other info, via your picture I.D). Check here for a newly reduced Golden Gate bridge sale price, one day only and reduced...just for you.

Who's protecting all that newly required voter information?

The rationale for requiring a voter picture I.D.'s (according to the GOP faithful) is given as, to protect YOU from that random voter fraud, that rarely if-ever, happens in person at any voting location nationwide. Since 2000, the big problem continues to be that most basic of all things ... counting all of the votes. Here we are 14 years later and we're still using our fingers and toes to count votes. Now that's real progress for all you conservative counters, since we didn't count those same votes back in the day.

Here's a short list of the picture I.D.'s that some voters are being told are acceptable-to-present in-order to be allowed to exercise that Constitutional right to vote:

1) Valid State Driver's License (or the hacker's dream card or banking key)
2) Employee Photo I.D. (maybe even your UPS work duds, to add, drama)
3) U.S. Passport (what could possibly go wrong with using your passport?)
4) Any Government Issued Photo I.D. (oddly, doesn't mention which govt.)
5) Valid Student I.D., etc. (So after a discussion about where you actually
reside as a student,,, your $40K picture I.D. nets you some real-time due.)
6) Some states also allow your gun permit I.D. (I guess to avoid the gun...)

Otherwise, if none of these photo pics are available to you (and millions of others now in a similar tizzy) you'll have to transport your behind over to the local resistor's office - pose for a picture - and hope that they mail it to the correct address, before the election this November 4th. Note that the below example of a state provided voter ID, even displays your birthday. A common key question to opening any personal, or private, information inquiry and another notation pick for any dubious hacker.
